Monitor your health with Fitbit Versa 2 Health & Fitness Smartwatch
Remember the old adage, “Health is wealth”. It is important that you are that individual that honors their health, at all times.
Africa has a developed health care system, which is available to most people, and expanding every minute to reach even the marginalized. However, the process can very complex and frustrating at times. I mean, it has come a long way, from using traditional methods and guesswork to embracing technology and a deeper understanding of human anatomy.
The Current Healthcare system
In old times, Health care facilities were places the sick were taken care of until their demise. Physicians rarely practiced in hospitals. and only the fortunate could afford proper care at home or in private clinics. Today, the level of health care has excelled tremendously. Our cultures now accept vaccines while practicing other preventive measures like using mosquito nets and eating a healthy diet.
The goal of our health care is to have a continuum of care for the patient. one Integrated on all levels. That is why most hospitals offer referral services or discharge plans to patients. The discharge planner, a person trained in assessing a patient’s health care requirements after discharge, ensures the patient gets the care needed, in an environment that is comfortable for them. Items reviewed for discharge planning include therapies, medication needs, living arrangements, etc. Other options available for persons being discharged from hospital acute care include, long term home care steps, assisted living facilities, or hospice
The process is not that easy. and this is just a brief. However, we have a number of things we can do to prevent us from going through this. For instance, take a walk, eat healthy, cycle to your destination, stretch. Essentially, do something that makes you burn calories your body doesn’t need, stimulating your body to function at an optimum. Our Fitbit smartwatches can help you organize yourself against your routines and achieve your health goals
This is a note from the 1823 team and a brief review of the healthcare system in Africa.
